AAMUSTED ASU pays a courtesy call on Atwimahene

Asante Students Union together with Nana Kofi Adum Bawuah

The Asante Students’ Union (ASU) of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development has on Monday, June 16, 2021, paid a courtesy call on the Atwimahene Nana Antwi Agyei Brempong II; as part of their week celebration.

The celebration themed; Preserving Asante Culture For Posterity, the Role of Asante Union” will end on June 18, 2021.

The visit saw Executives of the union and some members in collaboration with the former UK Branch Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Kofi Adum Bawuah, engaged in clean up exercise in and around the palace.

 

Interacting with MYND FM’s Reporter, Lewis Smith, Nana Adum Bawuah expressed his gratification of being part of the team that embarked on this all important exercise to fraternize and pay homage to the chief.

“It’s always good to honour the call of the students and join them as they embarked on such an important exercise at the chief palace. I always want to serve and with this opportunity, I am delighted to serve Asanteman through the clean-up exercise.”

Speaking on behalf of the Union, the king of Asante Students, also named; Nana Antwi Agyei Brempong indicated that, the executive of ASU thought it wise to share in the glory of the celebration with the palace amidst the schedule of activities.

Meanwhile, the Atwimahene through his representative, thanked the students for cleaning the environs and the palace as he donated an amount of One Thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢1,000.00) to the union towards the celebration
