The first graduation ceremony of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) to honour and recognise the Class of 2021 will take place virtually due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

In a release titled; “Congregation Update: Change of Mode” dated December 7, 2021, issued by the Acting Registrar of the University, the management is notifying all graduands of the transition from the in-person mode to the virtual mode.

The latest information has in no way change the original date of December 13, 2021 slated for the first session of the 26th Congregation.

“The original date of the Ceremony (Monday, December 13, 2021), however, remains the same as was contained in the Congregation advert published on page 12 of the Daily Graphic newspaper of Friday, December 3, 2021” the statement stressed.

According to the release, the change was necessitated due to the new COVID-19 variant; OMICRON, touted to be the deadliest of all as it is feared that some students may not observe the protocols established to curtail the spread of the disease.

Meanwhile, graduands are assured of prudent measures being put in place to help facilitate the collection of certificates and souvenirs.
