I, together with the MCE for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Hon. Benjamin Kesse and other officials commissioned three (3) infrastructural projects in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality amid durbar of chiefs, teachers, students and community members.
I facilitated all the three (3) projects as funded by the Minerals Development Fund (MDF).
The Projects are;
1. A 6-unit classroom block, office, ICT room, toilet and urinal facilities for Esuoso Catholic basic school.
Nana Kwesi Attobrah II, chief of Esuoso on behalf of his people, thanked leadership for such an edifice which will bring shift system at the basic school to an end. The Chief further pleaded with me to start plans of putting up an additional JHS block for the community;
2. A 6-unit classroom block, office, ICT room, toilet and urinal facilities for Domeabra M/A basic school;
Nana Badu II Odikro of Domeabra expressed his profound gratitude for such a magnificent school block built for his community.
3. A 16-seater WC toilet facility at the Fiaseman Senior High School (FIASSEC) at Tarkwa.
The completion of the toilet facility will finally address initial challenges faced by the school.
I must say, having a supportive MCE have led to the timely completion of all these projects. On behalf of the good people of Tarkwa-Nsuaem, I thank H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for reappointing Hon. Kesse.
In their speech, Mr. Joseph Amihere, Mr. Ebenezer Anane Atuahene and Mr. Sagoe, headmasters of Esuoso Catholic basic school, Domeabra M/A basic school and FIASSEC respectively, applauded myself and Hon. Benjamin Kesse for their sterling performance in ensuring that, the projects are completed in time.
At Esuoso, I used the opportunity to outline my achievements so far, and assured the community, timely completion of the Kwarekwano-Banso-Esuoso road which is under construction.
At FIASSEC, I pointed out the newly built dining hall, two different storey buildings for boys dormitory and a 12-Unit classroom block under construction as some landmark projects by the NPP government under my tenure as MP.
I further indicated that, as Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources responsible for mining with oversight responsibility over MDF, I will ensure such funds released to this constituency are used judiciously through the Assembly.
Government is in the process of addressing capping challenges of the fund.
Thanks to MCE, Assembly Officials, my Constituency Executives and the Media for a successful program today.
Together, we make Tarkwa-Nsuaem better.
Hon. George Mireku Duker (MP), Deputy Minister, Lands and Natural Resources.
